We are a Christian-based organization, but we will never force our beliefs on any of our mentees, little brothers, or recruits. We feel that it’s important that we clearly state who we are and what our content is based on, however we respect everyone’s right to make their own personal choice when it comes to their relationship with God. So, it’s important that you know we will not force those beliefs on others within any school setting without the permission of the administration.

Even in the case of mentoring at a Christian school, we will make sure that we clearly state how and when we plan to share our faith with the students to make sure we are in line with any school guidelines and practices. We simply strive to be an example of a Soldier like organization of Christ-like Men, in the lives we live, the decisions we make and the service we give to others.

We purposely want to keep the groups small so that each participant can get the personalized attention he deserves, while benefiting from a group environment. To do this, we currently only allow between 3 to 7 Young Men per group (age 10 and up).

So, if you are interested, please make sure to register your son with us and your school. If we don’t currently have space for him, we will keep him in mind, in case another young man leaves or is removed from a CG School Unit.

The CG Program will only meet within the guidelines and the timeframe of the host School Year. Additional After-school sessions and Summer Programs may be available, but this will not be a requirement for any student that attends an in-school CG Mentoring Program.

Every CG Mentoring Session will be scheduled to last from 45-60 mins max. Each participant will be given workbook sections and assignments to complete for the next session along with in-school projects by the school administration or teachers. Any participant that does not complete their assigned workbook sections or in-school assignments or projects, will gain negative participation points.

Any participant that reaches a max of Red Points will be removed from the in-school unit and their spot offered to another young man. To see how points are earned, please review our Point System Guide by CLICKING HERE >>

As a way to give back, The CENTRY League will provide a FREE CG Workbook to each participant, for each of the 7 modules they attend. Once they finish a module, a new CG workbook will be provided for the next module. They will also receive a FREE copy of the DAD Workbook for the DAD Module. We ask for approved meeting areas to be assigned to us that are large enough to accommodate a group of four to seven young men comfortably. Having this area pre-approved would allow us to come in advance and set the room up before the boys meet with us.

We would like permission for the CG Mentor to go around to classrooms to pickup and return students before and after Mentor meetings so that they don’t wander school halls and it’s clear when they are within our company.

This would also help to keep any students from going missing or from being out of place during their scheduled time with us.

We would love the option to meet virtually with the group of students if possible. However, in person meetings are preferred. So, if a zoom meeting could be set up in a classroom, or the counselors office, that would be a great addition to have in place for unexpected changes or needed adjustments.

It would also assist us in our plans to join Mentoring Units from different schools and racial backgrounds together to fellowship and interact virtually.

As big brothers to your students, we would like to be able to interact with the teachers of the students to see how their behavior is in the classroom as well as in the meeting rooms.

This would give us more context to interact with the students and to provide them with mentoring and counseling needed to help them be successful in and out of the classroom as well as at home

As part of the CG Mentoring Program, we would like the students to have in school assignments or projects to accomplish, in addition to their regular work, to help them develop a Heroic Soldier Mindset by performing acts of service.

These projects or assignments can be something like sweeping the cafeteria floor, working the bus line, handing out take-home flyers, delivering mail to teachers, assisting special education students, etc.

All of which would be designed to inspire your students to see the importance of service as they pursue greatness as part of the CG Program beginning with how they respect and act in their schools, with their classmates, with other students, and the teachers and staff of their school.     

As part of the Heroic Soldier Mindset, we would like each student to be allowed to wear camouflage pants, black boots or sneakers along with the CENTRY Choose Greatness T-shirt on the days of their mentoring sessions and their in-school projects or assignments.

This would help to create a sense of unity between the students that participate with the program, and it allows them to be seen by their own peers and classmates as having chosen to act positively in school. This would also help give them a sense of belonging as they participate in the CG Program.

This “Points and Pushups Policy” is our Accountability System of Consequence and Reward for every guy that participates in the CENTRY League and The Choose Greatness Program. This policy allows guys to earn Points and Rewards for their positive behavior, while allowing them to earn Negative Points and Perform Pushups as a result of their negative behavior. We understand that a life of Greatness by Serving, Honoring and Protecting others is NOT for everyone.

Another way we would like to inspire your students to choose greatness is by giving them the opportunity to support the teachers and the staff at their school. So, we would like each student, that participates in the CG Program, to have a teacher, or teachers, that would allow them to come into their classrooms to assist them.

For example, they could assist the teachers by passing out papers, sweeping the floor, sharpening pencils, cleaning up bulletin boards, folding papers, helping younger students or any other tasks that would help the teachers. This will give each student the opportunity to serve the teachers at their school and develop a sense of service as they develop their own heroic soldier mindset.

To help us understand and mentor each student better, we ask you to give us a list of 3 to 5 Areas of Development that we can work with each student on while they’re in school that would help them become more successful as a student.

The CENTRY Brand and The CG (Choose Greatness) Program is not for everyone. Participating with the CG Program is a privilege that must be honored and respected.  Understanding that we only have a limited number of Mentors and spots available for each CG School Unit, it’s important that every participant is serious about this opportunity.

Whenever we find a guy that clearly doesn’t value his time as part of a CG Unit, he will be replaced with someone who wants to be a part of the CG Brotherhood Unit.
